Some foster stories are meant to end with a goodbye. This one very clearly was not.
Back in November, two dilute calicos named Scary and Posh arrived as part of a tiny, spicy miracle: five feisty sisters dubbed the "Spice Girls," rescued from beneath an apartment building. The plan was fostering. The reality was… immediate emotional ruin. Because when you meet cats who fit into your life this perfectly, there's just no pretending they're temporary.
Over the next two and a half months, Scary and Posh quietly claimed their place with their hooman. Night after night, the three of them formed what can only be described as a cuddle puddle. Somewhere between shared blankets and synchronized purring, they crossed into "soul cat" territory.
So earlier this month, the paperwork caught up with what everyone already knew. These girls were home for good. Officially adopted. Permanently adored. Fully committed to spicing up daily life in the best possible way.
And because no wholesome cat story is complete without a tiny mystery: the calico eye boogies. Dust? Shedding? Calico-specific chaos? Fellow calico humans seem divided, but what's clear is that these little quirks are just part of the package.
Some cats you foster. Others choose you. Scary and Posh clearly made their decision early and thankfully, it stuck.
